Formant introduces marketing agencies to Shopify brands that fit them. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect on tryformant.com and why. Questions? Email [email protected].

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and password. Passwords are stored hashed by our sign-in provider; we never see them in plain text.
• Agency information you submit. Your name, agency name and website, services, typical client revenue, capacity, and any description you write.
• Analytics. Pages you view and buttons you click, plus basic technical details such as browser, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use PostHog for this. We don’t record what you type into forms and we don’t use session recordings. If you create an account, these events are linked to your account (email and agency name).

How we use it

• To match your agency with brands that fit and to make introductions.
• To contact you about setting up onboarding.
• To keep the site secure, for example limiting repeated sign-in attempts and checking for bots.
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.

What we don’t do

• No ads and no advertising trackers.
• We don’t sell your data.

Who processes it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Supabase (accounts and database), PostHog (analytics) and Cloudflare (hosting, security and the bot check on the sign-up form). They process data on our behalf.

Cookies

• Session cookies keep you signed in. They’re required for your account to work.
• Analytics cookies and local storage from PostHog let us count visits and clicks.
• Security cookies may be set by Cloudflare to protect the site.
• We also remember in your browser that you dismissed the cookie notice.

Your choices

You can view and edit your agency details on your account page. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email [email protected] and we’ll take care of it.

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
